Product Description
WS-SUP32-10GE-3B - Supervisor Engine / SUP 32
Cisco Systems WS-SUP32-10GE-3B Cat 6500 Supervisor 32 with 2 ports 10GbE and PFC3B
Supervisor Engine 32 offers a robust feature set at a low cost entry point for the wiring closet. Because it comes standard with the PFC3B, Supervisor Engine 32 offers feature consistency with the Supervisor Engine 720. Supervisor Engine 32 comes in two versions: 8x1 Gigabit Ethernet (GE) Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP)-based ports or 2x10 GE XENPAK-based ports.
Supervisor Engine 32 requires the high-speed fan tray when operating in the Cisco Catalyst 6500 chassis. As such, a minimum of 2500W AC (in either 110V or 220V mode) or DC power supply is required for operation in a 6-, 9-, and 13-slot chassis. It requires a minimum of 950W in the 3-slot chassis. Supervisor Engine 32 also can operate in the E-Series chassis or a Cisco 7600 Series Router.
The Supervisor Engine 32 is offered with the policy feature card 3B (PFC3B), delivering the same features and services available on the Supervisor Engine 720. Two uplink options are available: 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Small Form Pluggable (SFP)-based uplinks and 2-port 10 Gigabit Ethernet XENPAK-based uplinks. In addition to these modular uplinks, the Supervisor Engine 32 also includes one port of 10/100/1000 RJ-45 for ease of network management and two USB 2.0 ports to enable high-speed, secure, direct access from laptops for network management and simplify software downloading using USB memory devices
